Knap Textured Tanto With Plantstone Handle
This was a test piece. One of the first two pieces where I tried Plantstone material, which is a product by Mental Inc and is made from natural plant material trapped in epoxy resin. I also tried a "ghost etch" on the blade bevels which is a very light etch that isn't obvious at a glance. Personally I don;t like the ghost etch on this piece...too many textures between the etch, the knap texture on the spine, and the handle material. I also textured the tang of the blade after gluing the knife scales in place. This creates a smoother seam and makes it so some of the texture is on the handle material. Undecided which method I prefer...texturing before or after adhering the handles.
Price has been reduced because I don't like the ghost etch.
